Goodwin Centennial Trophy to be awarded annually

As a part of our Centennial Hunt Weekend Celebration, we are bringing back the community favorite tradition of Terrier Racing!

On March 6, starting at 4:30pm and followed by a Pitch-In Barbecue at the Tryon Hounds' Clubhouse, we will offer 3 classes of racing:  Small Terrier (13" and under at the shoulder). Large Terrier (over 13" at the shoulder) and Couch Potato (self descriptive - for non-terrier house dogs! ) There will be over fence races in addition to flat races. A Grand Champion will be crowned with a 'race-off' between all the winners of the classes. Bring your dog or just come to enjoy the fun event!

Entry fees are $10 per dog to be paid at registration on the day of the event. Open to all interested members of the local community. 
Races are sponsored by Goodwin Hounds, and all proceeds benefit Goodwin Hounds.
**Muzzles are required for the racing, and no dogs are allowed to be off leash unless they are racing.
